The case settled for $80,000. This was awarded to a 32-year-old teacher who was riding a moped. Jennifer was involved in a hit-and-run accident. After an initial denial of insurance coverage, a settlement was offered from Jennifer’s own insurance for its policy on her car, even though she was on her moped at the time of the accident. Jennifer broke her right leg in the accident.
