45-year-old driver arrested, his passenger killed in alcohol-related crash
Christopher Wilton, a 45-year-old man from Southern Indiana, was arrested Saturday, November 15, 2014 after crashing his car and killing his passenger. The vehicle ran off the road and into a ditch. It finally came to a stop on the property of Bellarmine University. The driver, Christopher Wilton, admitted to drinking a pitcher of beer and smoking marijuana before the accident happened. According to Deputy Coroner Jack Arnold, who identified the 45-year-old passenger as Christian Jenkins, Jenkins was not wearing a seat belt when the accident happened. Jenkins was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead after suffering from multiple blunt force injuries.
